  • Sapele Mahogany back and sides
  • Fishman Sonicore pickup with Presys preamp system
  • On board tuner and notch filter for feedback control
  • Rope binding on body and fingerboard
  • Rosewood fingerboard with inlaid diamond pearl position markers
  • Bound headstock with Rosewood veneer and inlaid pearl logo
  • Gold and Ebony “violin” tuners
  • Rosewood mustache bridge

* I’m sorry but the Teardrop does not come with a case. We still haven’t found anyone who will make us a case for this model.

I bought this Royal Hawaiian Teardrop Limited recently. I have been playing it for days and still cannot believe how wonderful it sounds, so rich and deep, and the high the amazing level of expert craftsmanship. If I was handed this to play and then asked to guess how much it cost, I would have said around $3,000, but $539 is the price!
Kind of a bummer that no case or bag is made anywhere in the world for this beauty, but I did find a Roland padded gig bag (For 49-key piano or percussion board?) that just barely fit, but well enough.
I run the Fishman p’up built into the guitar through a Boss Acoustic Singer Live amp – it is unbelievable to experience the intense sound quality. I keep expecting to get a bill for the rest of the price of the guitar!
If Weissenborn guitars are your thing, you must get one of these. Give up buying coffee take out a few times a week and this will be a justified expense, in the case of the “Ol’ Ball-N-Chain objects.
    Cheers.
PS: Below is a link for a wonderful capo that is perfectly suited to these guitars. As the result of the strings on these guitars being closer to the fretboard than Dobros, the capos made for Dobros are just too big. These featured in the link below are perfect.
